The Dent R&D team has recently developed the next generation of Nelson sensor – the Twin. This new design incorporates two independent sensing circuits instead of the traditional single circuit and trials of this new sensor are currently underway.
This type of sensor is primarily used in winding machines for manmade fibres and is typically fitted to machines manufactured by Oerlikon Barmag. The Twin is currently being marketed as a retrofit sensor upgrade for machines currently in field, to improve their efficiency.
